Pico Maccario

Pico Maccario was founded in 1997 by brothers Pico and Vitaliano Maccario in Mombaruzzo, at the heart of Piedmont’s Monferrato hills. Inspired by the vineyards of their grandfather Carlo, the brothers transformed a family inheritance into one of the region’s most distinctive modern estates. Rows of vines are famously marked by thousands of roses, creating a striking landscape while honouring an old vineyard tradition. The winery combines meticulous farming, research and modern cellar techniques with deep respect for each grape’s natural character. Today, Pico Maccario produces expressive wines across Monferrato and the Langhe, capturing Piedmont with freshness, elegance and a vivid sense of place.
