Fat Barrel Wine Company Bob’s Pinotage 2023

Description

The fruit is harvested from the warmer Paardeberg and Bovlei areas in Paarl. The warmer climate is perfect to achieve the sugar levels required to produce a softer, elegant and fruit-driven Pinotage. The wine went through maturation for 6 months in 70% French oak and 30% American medium-toast oak barrels. The wine was then removed from barrel and kept in stainless steel tanks until bottling. This Pinotage presents a nose suggestive of Oregan Pinot Noir. Dried red berry fruit dominates the palate supported by soft balanced tannins.
