Description
The grapes were harvested from a property on the outskirts of Paarl along the foothills of the majestic Simonsberg mountain. A Spanish inspired blend of Tempranillo, Grenache Noir and Carignan. Each varietal was hand-picked and vinified separately. Flavour and colour extraction was obtained by daily punch downs. After fermentation and pressing, the wine was transferred to older French oak barrels for 18 months. Sweet plum, caramel and toasty oak aromas exude from the glass. Juicy red cranberries and sour cherry flavours dance on the palate. The finish is lengthy and refined with a medium to firm tannin structure. Pairs beautifully with classic paella and charcuterie.
