Description
The grapes were handpicked at optimum ripeness from 15 year old trellised vineyards. These grapes underwent a long fermentation period to ensure maximum flavour extraction. The wine was matured for 12 months in a carefully selected combination of oak barrels – 95% French and 5% American – to enhance complexity and structure. Aromas of dark cherry and raspberry lead into a richly layered palate of dark chocolate. This full bodied, structured wine displays herbal undertones and subtle black pepper nuances. Highly concentrated, it finishes with impressive length and elegance. Can cellar for a further 10 years.
