Radford Dale Black Rock 2020
“From old Swartland bush-vines, this is a seriously seductive red blend that has been a constant favourite vintage after vintage.”
R388.00 per bottle (South Africa)
As always, the grapes are hand-harvested and hand-sorted in the cellar to ensure only the finest examples of berries are used.
All varietals were co-fermented instead of fermenting separately which allowed for a much more harmonious and seamless blend.
The wine spent 18 months in barrel with most of the barrels ranging from 2nd to 6th fill.
On the palate, the wine delights with generous concentration and a refined, smooth texture.
The nose shows complexity through interesting fynbos aromas and prominent dark fruit
notes.
43% Syrah, 19% Cinsault, 16% Carignan, 14% Grenache, 8% Mourvedre.
Unfiltered and Unfined
