The dream behind creating this ultra-premium blend was to select the two very best barrels of worthy vintages to create the ultimate expression of what Ridgeback can produce.
Both the Cabernet Franc and Shiraz were hand-harvested and stored in stainless steel tanks.
Both cultivars were gravity fed separately into new French oak barrels.
After 12 months the two very best barrels of both varietals were selected and blended.
The blend was then racked back into barrel for an additional 6 months.
Supple, ripe tannins support the rich palate and elegant pepper spice finish.
The final blend was lightly filtered prior to bottling.
Only 535 bottles produced.
