Description
A medium to full-bodied Merlot harvested from Stellenbosch Merlot blocks located on the slopes of the Bottelary Hills.
The grapes were picked early in the morning to retain freshness and fermented in open-top fermenters for 10 days. The wine was transferred to older French oak barrels where it matured for 18 months. (2nd, 3rd and 4th fill)
Intense notes of crushed mulberry and rosemary exude from the glass.
Plush red fruits explode on the palate resulting in an elegantly complex, multi-layered wine
Can cellar for up to 6 years from vintage
