Description
A deeply purple Pinotage harvested from 27 year old bush vines in Paarl and Wellington.
The grapes were handpicked and fermented in open top fermenters for 5 days.
After fermentation the wine was transferred to French oak barrels for 24 months (70% new, 30% 2nd fill). These barrels were crafted from carefully selected wood from the Troncais forest in France.
This Pinotage is full-bodied with evocative aromas of black cherries and exotic oak spice.
Elegantly poised with complex layers of fruit, this stunning wine showcases perfect harmony, all bound together by a lively seam of acidity.
Can age for 20 years.
Pleasantly dry and savoury with lingering notes of Christmas cake and vanilla
