Description
Equal parts of Shiraz and Grenache make up this medium-bodied, vibrant red blend. The grapes were sourced from the outskirts of Paarl along the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountains. The two varietals were harvested separately and fermented in stainless steel. Once fermented, the wine spent 18 months in 10% new French oak barrels. (the remainder consisted of 2nd, 3rd and 4th fill) Ripe, dark stone fruit and white pepper are apparant on the nose with tart black cherries on the palate. Fresh acidity with silky, smooth tannins. Can cellar for up to 7 years.
50% Shiraz, 50% Grenache
